Chris Rusbridge has been involved in innovation on the fringes of research university libraries for more than 15 years, first as Programme Director for the JISC Electronic Libraries Programme (eLib), and more recently as Director of the Digital Curation Centre (DCC) in the UK. Chris has a particular interest in repositories and research data centres and services, and has expertise in digital preservation and data curation.
He has been an IT and IS Director in several universities, both in the UK and Australia. He also has some Board experience in two small companies in the UK, and has served as a Board member for the Research Libraries Group (2000-2006). Though he has now taken early retirement, Chris nonetheless undertakes some consulting. His specialities lie in: research data curation and management, digital preservation, and digital and data repositories.
