The University of Essex is a British campus university with the original and largest campus located near the town of Colchester, England. Established in 1963 and receiving its Royal Charter in 1965. It now consists of 18 main teaching departments and 36 centres and institutes in a wide range of subject areas, including the fields of human rights, law & government.
