This is the picture we published in the last issue. Captions for this picture appear below. Again, a tough call to pick the winner:

"This voice-entry system seems to work very well. By the way, who's your friend over there with the keyboard?"

As Terence waited for his dance partner's name to appear, he noticed how few options there were likely to be. -Peter S. Graham, Syracuse University Library, Syracuse, NY

" No wires or electronic circuits - it's called PAPER and is a revolutionary breakthrough in technology. Already thousands of content creators have committed to the platform! " - Jonathan Orford, Kimberlin Library, De Montfort University, Leicester

Thought bubbles coming out of the guy on the right's head while he furiously avoids eye contact with his colleagues and stifles his giggles by concentrating hard on his screen ... "I wonder how long it will be before Fred and Billy work out that I've hidden their keyboard!" -Jackie Knowles, Academic Liaison Team, Hugh Owen Library, Aberystwyth, Wales

OK, you knock the drink off the table and then I'll grab the laptop..."

"That's so cool - you can press a button on that box thing and a letter appears on this television"

Jimmy always dressed the part when demonstrating his new snooker game.

Visitors could never escape without viewing Peter's holiday snaps on CD-R. - all by Rob May, LIS Faculty Liaison Officer - Sci. & Maths, Clifton Campus Library, Nottingham Trent University

"Hmmm....You're right. Anne Robinson does look better with a Phil Mitchell haircut" Annabel Ashwel -UK (US readers won't understand this one, and probably shouldn't bother trying :-)

'Suits fieldtest the new A4 NotePad interface' - Peter Burnhill, EDINA, Edinburgh

The winner is: Peter Burnhill of EDINA. Similar to Jonathan Orford's idea, but a more compact execution. Congratulations. Book tokens will be on their way to Peter shortly. Thanks and commiserations to the other entrants.

Ariadne continues (surprisingly) to receive entries for earlier caption competitions (those in issues 7 and 8 being particular favourites). We are grateful for these (extremely late) entries, which are often very good, and continue to make us laugh. But unfortunately there are no prizes available for entries to these earlier competitions.
