Dramatic as they were, the conditions did not in any way dampen the enthusiasm of the delegates over the three days. The programme this year consisted of plenary sessions, discussion groups, parallel sessions and the famed social events. The leafy 70 acre campus was purpose-built in the 1930s, when the college moved from the Edge Hill area of Liverpool.
