The new interface was created to improve the appearance of Ariadne both on screen and when printed: the latter is particularly important now that Ariadne is published only in electronic format (since issue 19). In the UK, the JISC is an investment partner and a UK IMS centre has been set up <a href="#ukims">[2]</a>.
